Research Blog
Starting a Research Notebook
This research notebook begins as a place for ideas that are still becoming clearer: questions from papers, observations from projects, and reflections on how people encounter AI systems in everyday settings.
Much of my work sits at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Intelligent User Interfaces, and Human-Centered AI. A short-form research blog gives me a useful space between formal publications and quick social media updates. It can hold the reasoning behind a project, the practical lessons from a study, or a question that deserves more time before becoming a paper.
What I Hope To Write About
- Trust, transparency, and fairness in AI-driven systems
- Sociotechnical approaches to system design and evaluation
- Research methods for understanding users’ perceptions and practices
- Reflections on papers, teaching, workshops, and collaborative projects
- Notes on recommender systems, health-care technology, education, and social platforms
Why Keep Notes In Public
Public notes can make research thinking more visible. They can also help students, collaborators, and readers see how ideas develop across time. Not every post needs to be a finished argument. Some can be careful fragments: a concept worth revisiting, a methodological tension, or a design question that keeps returning across different contexts.
A Working Principle
Good research writing does not only report findings. It also preserves the path of inquiry: what felt uncertain, what changed after listening to participants, and what became possible when technical systems were understood as part of broader social worlds.
That is the kind of writing I hope this space can support.
